2muse gains exclusive access to the Xinhui catalog of over 2 million music tracks for digital delivery to storefronts across China.
SHANGHAI (August 15, 2011) – 2muse, China’s premier music streaming provider for business, has partnered with leading Chinese media group Xinhui to bring music content to storefronts and business across China. Xinhui is the largest state owned music industry enterprise in China, and represents over 100 Chinese and foreign music labels on the Chinese mainland. The exclusive, long term agreement will enhance the 2muse catalog of licensed titles available for its integrated music programming, delivery, and royalty accounting solution for retail storefronts in China.
“Our partnership with Xinhui significantly deepens and expands the 2muse content library of licensed music we can offer to retailers”, says Edmund Qi, CEO of 2muse. “More titles means 2muse can provide a wider variety of customized programming for our retail partners”, he explained. The partnership adds 2 million new tracks to the 2muse catalog of licensed titles, and strengthens its position as the leading digital music distribution system for retail stores in China.
The 2muse system is fully licensed by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and is a lead partner in digital music legalization initiatives in China. 2muse is currently deployed in select stores in Shanghai and Beijing, and is in negotiations with several large chain store groups as part of its strategy to bring the system to storefronts throughout the Chinese mainland.
